Here are some of the questions you should find answers to prior to signing any rental agreement, based on our experience. And homeowners, you should be prepared with these answers:
- What recreation equipment - including the number of beach badges - are available for your use?
- How close is the nearest beach access point and are there lifeguards there?
- What are the bed sizes and what is the maximum allowable number of guests?
- Are linens included? Post CoVid, many shore homes don't provide linens, so renters need to bring their own or use a linen rental service.
- Are cleaning services included in the price?
- Is there an outdoor grill available for use? If not, are you allowed to bring your own?
- Who should I contact if something goes wrong?
- Is the property pet and child friendly?
- When do I need to check in and out?
- What happens if I need to cancel my reservation?
- What is the security deposit fee and the return policy?
- For homes with pools and/or hot tubs, what are the instructions for these?
